Ready to take in the New Year on a bike? If you're not looking for a quiet evening, Time's Up! is hosting their 12th Annual New Year's Eve Ride and outdoor after party this Saturday. Their tips: dress festive, bring noise makers/party favors and food & drink to share. The main meeting place is Washington Square Park, under the arch, at 10PM.
Here is a link to help route you to Washington Square Park.
If you're in Brooklyn and want to meet others to the start of the ride, be on the Brooklyn-side of the Williamsburg Bridge at 10pm. Or meet up after the ride begins at around 10:20pm at 23rd St & Broadway, on the Flatiron (south) side.
The ride ends in the middle of Central Park at Belvedere Castle (image above), for a dance party and fireworks! (You don't have to ride by the way, just meet at the castle at 11:45PM.)
Here's the event on Facebook and a 30 sec YouTube video from last year's party:
Happy New Year!
By the way, I didn't see similar events in other cities. If you have some, let me know and I'll start a list of events to add here.
